I was given this cocobolo (a central American rosewood) as a scrap from a woodworker who built a dining room table out of a big magnificent slab. There was just enough width and length to make a parlor guitar. This was paired with a sitka spruce soundboard, curly maple binding, richlite fingerboard, and an Alaskan yellow cedar neck.
The sound is very nice, balanced and ‘sweet’. There is also a K&K TwinSpot under soundboard piezo pickup if you want to amplify this guitar.
